Weâve decided, five months after our Freddy died, to buy another dog. Iâve tried t stay out of it. The decisions are being made by the two fabulous women in my life, Linda and Tommie.
There are reasons for me to stay out. For example, should I have a full vote on what breed of dog if thereâs a fair chance I wonât outlive it? Linda will happily look after it when Iâve gone. Sheâs younger and fitter. So she should have more of a say. But what if her ânew manâ doesnât like dogs? Linda avoids that question because of its complexity.
