Remember the kids' comics of the 1950s and '60s? I loved 'em. My friend accumulated so many, he couldn't squeeze any more under his bed. It wasn't just the cartoons I loved. The competition prizes seemed out of this world. Problem was, you had to live in the United States to enter them.

This comes back to mind because I have a 1960 Porky Pig comic in front of me now. No idea how it got here. But there's a competition for kids on the back cover. It's sponsored by Kraft, the US food giant, and TransWorld Airways TWA. They were launching a product called Kraft's Jet-Puffed Marshmallows.
