Ouch!” Kelli Austin cried as a sharp pain shot through the top of her foot while she walked through Kansas City, Missouri, one day. I must have fractured my foot on the concrete. Going for an x-ray, Kelli was puzzled to learn no such fracture existed, and hoped the random pain would go away.

A chiropractor herself, Kelli quickly eliminated gout as a potential cause, as she, a vegan, did not consume animal products. Her blood work also showed no sign of rheumatoid activity, so she began puzzling through other possibilities.
