With this issue, SMJ showcases our Publisher's newest venture. Probably her strongest go-to strategy is 'to get there first.' Our front cover story reports on the pre-launch of the inaugural Milton Fashion Week 2025, held at the end of 2024. Fulfilling the promise that the July 2025 main event would be a fashion show 'unlike no other,' the pre-launch had a little of everything; from the selection of the dual male-and-female Faces of Milton Fashion Week to an impromptu runway walk by over a dozen 50 year+ fashionistas from among the audience and organizers!! Our regular writers were asked to comment on the sincerity behind the wish 'Happy New Year,' and if that rings true at this moment in history. If on cue, the Editor-in-Chief, in his latest op-ed piece, comments on why journalism and the content that is created by virtue of the freedom of the press is worth saving.
