The January 2026 issue is dedicated to the theme of peace and nonviolence. On January 1 the Pope’s World Day of Peace message invites the Church and the world to begin the New Year with renewed resolve to work for peace. Titled “Peace be with you all: Towards an ‘unarmed and disarming’ peace,” this year’s message is released on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and calls us to reject the logic of violence and war. It urges a commitment to an authentic peace rooted in love and justice. This peace must be “unarmed,” that is, not based on fear, threats or weapons. And it must be “disarming,” that is, capable of resolving conflicts
