The industrial face of Angola Several industry sectors have been facing the gloomiest of challenges in recent times. Some due to a shortage of resources, others due to a lack of raw materials. In this special issue of Villas&Golfe; Industry we dedicate pages to the agricultural, metallurgical, food, manufacturing, environment and cosmetics industries, as well as to various sectors, such as education, tertiary, advertising and furniture. These are industries that have taken Angola’s good name out into the world. After reflecting on the latest events, businesspeople and management have drawn conclusions and grabbed on to their brands with even greater vigour, making the country, in some cases, self-sustainable. The role of social responsibility is also portrayed in this issue dedicated to Angola, starting with the Aldeia Camela Amões project, an example for the world. Similarly, the agribusiness sector, also showcased here, demonstrates how investment in agriculture and livestock breeding is a successful business model for those who invest in the sector. They provide proof that from a rich and fertile land, such as Angola, quality food and projects can flourish. And there are many industry sectors that have done much for the country. They find inspiration and recreate. Any industry needs, at some point, to rethink its strategies. And that is what many of our interviewees have done. They have reinvented themselves. And the recovery of the economy can be seen. Angola has everything it needs to be a success. An example. Because industry is what a country lives from. And from people who know how what they’re doing.
