These are some of the pertinent questions that the 2020 edition of SAX Appeal asks.
As SAX Appeal makes its digital debut, the time is ripe to interrogate the fourth industrial revolution.
Inherent in every move we make online, whether its accepting cookies or agreeing to a privacy policy we haven’t even glanced at, are compromises. Questions have been raised in terms of the individual’s right to privacy ,the use of technology for racial profiling or even the use of technology to diffuse propaganda .Will technology mitigate or exacerbate contemporary social ills ?What about the multitude of careers that have been birthed by the digital age ,chief amongst being the influencer whose very purpose is to direct the choices people make .But who becomes the influencer?
This digital edition intends not only to humor but to educate inform, entertain and push boundaries while introducing students to publishing in the digital world.

SAX Appeal Description:

SAX Appeal is an annual, student-run magazine published by the University of Cape Town's Remember And Give (UCT RAG) .

UCT RAG raises funds for non-profit organizations that work in Cape Town communities. Our aim is to positively contribute towards various Cape Town communities while simultaneously equipping students with the skills, perspectives and experiences required to become leaders who are always conscious of the needs of others.
