SA Basset Adoptions – For The Love Of Basset Hounds

One small act of kindness goes a long way, and at SA Basset Adoptions it’s no different. There’s nothing as fulfilling as a good ending to a sad beginning!

SA Basset Adoptions has been rescuing and rehoming unwanted and neglected Bassets since 2013. During 2014, Adrienne de Beer took over the management of the organisation, assisted by two partners and many dedicated volunteers and supporters. SABA became a non-profit company in 2017. Operating across the country, SABA relies on foster parents to take Bassets into their homes while it networks them to find their “furever” homes. When foster homes are not available immediately, SABA utilises boarding kennels. During the time that the Bassets are in foster care, the organisation remains responsible for their medical care, and the foster parents provide food and much-needed love and attention.
