The story of how I was adopted and found my new family

Sasha's Adoption Story

Well, hello humans. My name is Sasha, and I found myself orphaned at Dogtown. That place wasn’t bad, though – I had good food, daily walks and training, so I could do goofy stuff like plonk my bum down and plonk my body down and get a tasty reward just for doing that! I even met a guy called Stevie. Handsome, big ears and chubby – we had fun and ran around playing together. Well, I ran circles around him, because I can zoom very fast, and he is, well, he’s chubby. We hit it off and soon became roommates.

One day Stevie and I were asked to meet visitors who arrived at Dogtown. I thought it was interesting, played aloof, and let them greet me like the civilised gal I am. I know how to speak dog and human. We went for a gentle walk while the humans chatted and touched us. Stevie was not so cool with the visitors and told me that he felt upset. He was glad when it was all over and we were back in our room.

A few days later my caretaker took me on a long journey. It took ages, and I was starting to feel a knot in my tummy when we stopped and the door opened and I could jump out and sniff my surroundings. No sooner had I done that when I was greeted by the same visitors I’d met a week ago! They swarmed all over me and we said hello. I was happy to meet them and hoped they were happy to meet me too.
