Milan Design Week recently concluded its annual spring run after a week-long (18-23 April) affair that saw hundreds of shows and exhibitions held across the city’s multiple districts.
Representing Singapore on this global stage was Future Impact, organised by the DesignSingapore Council. Co-curated by design thought-leader Tony Chambers together with Milan-based author and curator Maria Cristina Didero, the exhibition highlighted Singapore as a hub of innovation and creativity, in which impactful design solutions and technology come together to shape a brighter future.
The exhibition, which ran at the iconic Bastioni di Porta Venezia, debuted new works from six of Singapore’s most talented designers: Forest & Whale, Gabriel Tan, Nathan Yong, Studio Juju, Tiffany Loy, and Viewport Studio.
the artists and their works
Through Future Impact, members of the public were privy to the designers' unique visions for a collective global future. Each piece employed sustainable, forward-thinking solutions, made possible through the use of cutting-edge technology and poetic storytelling.
