Hyundai’s New Brezza-rivalling SUV To Get A New Petrol Engine And 7-speed Dct Gearbox Alongside Advanced Connectivity Package
By now, you’ve heard a lot about the connected-car virtues of the new compact SUV from Hyundai, christened Venue, hitting showrooms in May 2019. Well, we now have official confirmation on some of the other specs and features that the vehicle will boast starting with the powertrain.
There will be three engines on offer right away from launch. One of them is a new one making its India debut with the Venue. It’s a 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit that is a first from a new family of engines being developed by Hyundai. Do not be fooled by its size because it will churn out 118bhp of peak power and 172Nm of torque. Its compact layout has been achieved thanks to the engineers being able to integrate its exhaust manifold to the cylinder head. This is said to have resulted in better efficiency even at high rpms.
