Keith Barrett of Plainfield, Ontario is the Canadian representative for the Land-Rover Series One Club and owns no fewer than 20 of the iconic off-roaders.
He knew he was going to add another when an advertisement caught his eye. It read: ‘Series One… old hulk… blown transmission… last registered in 1974… drove halfway around the world.’ The description was accompanied by a picture of a yellow vehicle with writing on the sides and, because his wife Jane loves yellow and had a birthday coming up, a deal was arranged.
