A tribute to two great custodians

SEE YA VIV & BRUM

We’ve had an incredible 19 years publishing HEAVY DUTY Magazine! Brum and I took the magazine over from the original publisher, Chris Beattie, in September 2001. It’s been an amazing way to earn a living. We’ve met so many phenomenal people along the way, seen the world, ridden miles and miles, raised a family of four and had a heap of fun! All in the name of Harley-Davidson and American V-Twins – everything that we love doing.

Bikes are a way of life for so many. We feel privileged to work in an industry that is also our passion. We’ve been lucky to attend so many bike launches in Australia and internationally, attend every Harley-Davidson anniversary event since the incredible 100th Anniversary in 2003, plus attended Daytona Bike Week several times, Bike Week in Prague, and pretty much every Sturgis Rally this decade. And whilst publishing HEAVY DUTY we also hosted annual tours and met some of the best people we know on our rides across the USA. Each year we’ve managed to have an eclectic and entertaining mix of readers making every annual ride a unique and awesome experience – some of the best people we know! It’s a tough gig!

The HEAVY DUTY team have been an incredible asset to the quality magazine you hold in your hands every two months.

Huge thanks goes out to Doc for being the central part of HEAVY DUTY since Issue 2!
