Doing a Dance With the Incredible Ameo Cup Car. And Not Really Managing It

What’s it mean to be quick? What’s it mean to put your-self on the line and commit to something in its entirety? Is being rapid over a single lap better or worse than being consistent over the span of a race? These are just a few of the questions I couldn’t answer during a race weekend that Volkswagen Motorsport very graciously invited me to be a part of. Just so we’re clear, the only reason I had time to ask these questions was because I wasn’t quick enough to win the race. Not even quick enough to get to the podium. Jeez. I think this is what leads to a mid-life crisis.
