Tech tweaks and interior quality improvements help Seat’s smallest SUV keep pace with talented rivals On sale Now Price from £19,600

Seat Arona

THE WORLD OF small SUVs is filled with fierce contenders like the Ford Puma, Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Cross. You can’t stand still if you want to stay competitive, hence Seat has given its offering, the Arona, a makeover.

So, what’s changed? The main focus has been on the previously drab interior, an area where the Arona has always fallen short of the quality you find in the Kamiq in particular. Hard plastics have given way to soft-touch materials atop the dashboard, with convincing metal-look trim pieces lending support elsewhere. There are still some scratchy plastics around the spacious interior, but you’ll have to search a bit harder to find them.
