Now That We Are Married…What's Next?

However, marriage goes far beyond the most glamorous gowns and fancy ballroom banquets.

Rather, the day’s festivities only mark the start of your commitment towards one another. Real marriages are a far cry from what we see in movies and dramas, and many couples agree that their views of marriage change drastically after they enter one.

One such difference is when some couples spend less time with each other after marriage, even though they are now staying under one roof. Other couples start to quarrel over the most trivial of things, such as the “proper” way one should squeeze the toothpaste. The increased proximity magnifies the way they perceive the differences in both individuals, so in order to build a lasting marriage, you need to recognize some factors that may hinder you and your partner from cultivating a healthy relationship.

What you have to be aware of

1. The transitory stage

Many people assume that after marriage, a couple’s relationship will remain unchanged. This could not be further from the truth. As all relationships go through transitions, it is normal and necessary for a couple to experience changes.
