Imagine visiting the paradisiacal island of Bali and experiencing not just once but twice the magic it offers. That is exactly what I did when I stayed at the beach-front Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and sister resort, the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan – which was recently voted #1 World’s Top Hotel by the prestigious Travel + Leisure Magazine in their 2018 World’s Best Awards.
Arriving at the Four Seasons Resort at Jimbaran Bay which is built on a slope rising above Bali’s most exclusive stretch of sand, you drive past well-manicured gardens to arrive at the lobby which is modelled after a Balinese village. Open-air with a million-dollar vista overlooking Jimbaran Bay and Mount Agung, after a quick registration I am whisked off to my Premier Ocean View villa, one of a total of 147 villas and nine residences in this all-villa resort.
Featuring wood and other traditional materials, my spacious villa has a plunge pool overlooking the golden shores of Jimbaran Bay and beyond while the surrounding walls enclose the entire villa to ensure complete privacy.
As no visit to Bali is complete without a spa treatment, a visit to the Healing Village Spa was in order. I opted for the Adreno Selamat treatment which utilises adaptogenic herbs to support optimal adrenal function followed by a Balinese massage. After this treatment, it wasn’t just my adrenal glands which benefited – all aches and pains from my neck and shoulders miraculously disappeared.
