However, what remains under-explored and under-explained is how his innovative use of technology is bringing about a gigantic transformation in the way Indian Government works. This is not only bringing about a huge improvement in public service delivery but also changing the basic tenets of citizen engagement by the Government.
The Narendra Modi Government has set a new standard of citizen engagement, not only in India but globally. Technology is being used as a means of empowerment for even the last man in the queue. Be it use of simple social media, or a robust institutional platform of MyGov, be it rapid grievance redressal through work-flow management in CPGRAMS to PRAGATI where PM Modi himself intervenes to kick-start long-pending projects, the multi-dimensional and multi-faceted use of technology is improving lives all around. PM Modi is aggressively pushing ministries to use GIS for mapping their resources & public service delivery infrastructure. India’s NAVIC navigation satellite is also a stellar example of how as a nation we are progressing in the use and deployment of technology.
