Sir Winston Churchill’s immortal words are so apt for our times: “Never let a good crisis go waste”. The Covid pandemic has been a crisis of epic proportions for all entrepreneurs. The crisis has been positive for select sectors like healthtech, ed-tech, fin-tech. But for most other sectors it has been a harrowing time. Not only has demand vanished but for some sectors, even if there is demand, the labour availability has put severe strain on the speed of scaling up. For instance factories that are being built in states of Maharashtra and Gujarat have been severely hampered by the lack of skilled manpower, which often comes from Bihar and Orissa.
