SLOWDOWN HAS NO IMPACT ON AUTO RUBBER COMPONENT INDUSTRY

The lingering slowdown in the Indian auto industry is a matter of major concern for the Indian economy. However, this will have nil impact on the auto rubber components industry, say Turab Ali Khan, Industry Manager, and Parthasarathi Prabharakaran, Research Analyst, Mobility Practice, of leading research firm Frost & Sullivan.

But, the OE demand would be affected due to the current slowdown, the Frost & Sullivan executives say in an interview to Rubber Asia and provide more insight into this subject.

The current slowdown in the Indian automotive industry has ‘no impact’ on the automotive rubber component industry, of leading research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

“The current slowdown has little or no impact on the automotive rubber components as the after-market demand is still steady due to the existing vehicle parc and component replacement cycles. However, the OE demand would be affected due to the current slowdown,” say Turab Ali Khan, Industry Manager, and Parthasarathi Prabharakaran, Research Analyst, Mobility Practice, Frost & Sullivan.
