When we catch up with our columnist Peter Andre for a Christmas chinwag, he’s in full festive mode with tinsel and decorations at the ready. But after spending most of 2020 living under one kind of restriction or another due to the pandemic, the father-of-four is looking forward to a “simpler” Crimbo with his wife Emily, 31, and children Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Amelia, six, and four-year-old Theo.
“Usually Emily would be getting ready for Christmas months in advance,” he tells us. “But with all the confusion this year, and after spending so much time together as a family, we have been thinking about things differently.”
And that’s not the only thing on the 47-year-old singer’s mind as the Christmas holidays roll around. He’s always been very public about concerns over his children’s presence on social media. Now Pete has taken things one step further by teaming up with Panda Security to protect his brood, a campaign that he says is “brilliant”.
Here, Pete reveals how Emily has revolutionised his approach to parenting, present buying and even preparing Christmas dinner…
Hey Pete! Christmas is well and truly on its way. How are you planning to spend the big day?
It finally feels like Christmas, doesn’t it? I think after the year we’ve all had, everything has become a bit simpler. There’s been so much confusion about how Christmas is even going to pan out, so with that in mind we’ve decided to keep it easy and we’re just having a very simple day with lots of family time.
Are the kids excited?
