She might be approaching her due date, but Kate Ferdinand isn’t lying in bed all day waiting for her baby to arrive. In fact, she finds it hard to be lazy, saying, “My mind’s very active and I like to be doing stuff.”
Luckily, Kate has a new range with fitness brand Dare 2B to promote so she has plenty to keep her busy until the arrival of her baby boy.
As well as her work projects, the former TOWIE star has her hands full with husband Rio Ferdinand and her three stepchildren, Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and nine-year-old Tia. Since falling in love with former footballer Rio, 42, after his wife Rebecca died of breast cancer five years ago, Kate has dedicated her life to looking after the family – and it’s clear they’ve have become a tight unit.
In fact, 29-year-old Kate tells us the kids are involved in all the family’s decisions and says it’s important to her that they don’t feel left out when the new addition arrives.
“I want to really make sure that I’m always there for them,” she says.
Here, the blooming star tells us why she won’t be putting any pressure on herself to lose weight after the baby is born and why lockdown has, in some ways, made pregnancy easier…

Have you reached the nesting stage where you want to clean everything in sight?
