‘It's so hard to think of two matching names'

It’s double trouble for former TOWIE star Frankie Essex, as she exclusively reveals her twin pregnancy to new and opens up about preparing for motherhood

Former TOWIE star Frankie Essex was surprised when she got pregnant quickly after coming off contraception last year. But the reality TV personality tells us she was gobsmacked when she and her partner of three years, Luke Love, 32, found out they were expecting twins.

“I was just so shocked!” Frankie, 34, explains as she reveals her happy news to new. “How we found out was really lovely. The lady scanning me was focusing on one baby and was then like, ‘What else do we have here then?’ and I was so shocked and asked, ‘Are we having twins?’ I burst out crying, tears of happiness. It was just so beautiful. It was lovely.”

Frankie, who is due in the summer, says she’s past her first trimester and is feeling good after months of nausea. As we chat all things babies, she seems happier and more settled than ever. Frankie and personal trainer Luke are currently renovating their new Essex home, and she says she can’t wait to make memories as a family of four.

Here, Frankie talks about her pregnancy journey so far, how she’s feeling about motherhood and whether she’s got names picked out yet…

Hi, Frankie. Congratulations! How are you feeling?

Really good. The first trimester I felt so sick and dizzy and could only eat dry food. I was waking up in the night. Now, I’ve got so much more energy. I’m up, taking the dogs for a walk. Sometimes I’ll have a nap in the afternoon as I’m tired, but I go to bed about 9.30pm anyway – I love my sleep and I better get it in now!

And you’re having twins! Was it a shock?
