Lucy is warned ‘Ryan's selfish!'

The actor sparked a backlash by admitting he misses their old pre-parenthood life

They’d been in a baby bubble since welcoming their adorable son Roman last March – but Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas found themselves at the center of a storm last week when the actor faced a furious backlash over some comments on parenthood.

In a brutally honest confession, the 36-year-old told of how he wants “the old Lucy back” and that he struggles not being his fiancée’s “main priority”.

“Being a parent is testing but do you know what I miss the most? I miss just me and Lucy,” he said during his podcast Mancs On The Mic.

“I always say to her, ‘I want the old Lucy back sometimes.’ It’s not that she’s not there – it’s just I’m not the main priority anymore. Roman comes first. I just miss that. I said to her the other day, ‘Shall we just go away, the two of us? Let’s go away for, like, a long weekend or something,’ and she’s going, ‘Oh, I can’t because I’m feeding.’
