Meghan Puts On A Brave Face As The Markles Turn On Her

The no-holds-barred chat with Oprah has caused her family to hit out again

No topic was off limits in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last week as Meghan opened up about the struggles she’d faced in her life as a senior royal – revealing she had battled with her mental health and at one point admitted to her husband Prince Harry that she was having suicidal thoughts.

But as the dust barely settled on the interview of the decade, the pregnant duchess, 39, was forced to put on a brave face yet again as she faced another attack from her estranged father Thomas Markle and half-sister Samantha.

Her father, 76, accused the duchess of “ghosting” her family and claimed Harry, 36, behaved in a “snotty” manner during a phone call with him while he was in hospital. He dismissed Meghan’s racism claims and claimed, given Prince Philip’s ailing health, “They certainly should have waited,” to give an interview. Meanwhile, Samantha, 56, slammed Meghan’s allegations that they hadn’t seen each other in 18 years, adding, “Depression is not an excuse for treating people like dishrags and disposing of them.”
