DON’T wait until it’s too late – video games are an addiction, too!

Stop The Addiction!

TODAY’S generation is faced with different types of danger. If we’re not protecting our kids from crime, then we’re teaching them not to talk to strangers and not to take drugs. But how many of us keep an eye on them (all the time) in the comfort of our own homes, the safest place on earth, right? While they might be right by your side, they could be forming a dangerous addiction right under your nose, and it’s all thanks to electronic devices. News broke recently of a nine-yearold girl who is currently spending time in rehab after becoming so addicted to a video game that she ‘wet herself to continue playing and hit her father in the face when he tried to take away her Xbox’. This primary school pupil was reportedly playing the Fortnite video game for up to 10 hours a day – and through the night. But when her father found her sitting on a urinesoaked cushion, something had to be done. “My husband saw her light on in the night and found her sitting on a urine-soaked cushion playing the game,” reveals the mother, who adds, “She was so hooked to the game she wouldn’t even go to the toilet.” According to DailyMailOnline, the girl’s parents had bought her the Xbox in January this year, and she soon after downloaded Fortnite, which is a game endorsed by many celebrities, and one which has been dowloaded more than 40-million times since it was launched in July 2017.
