Family has always been the one thing that Justin (Dann-Jaques Mouton) felt strongly about. “He has a huge place in his heart for his offscreen son Luka and he wants to be a good father to the boy even though they aren’t together,” says Dann-Jaques. Over the past few weeks, Justin’s love for family has been put to the test in the roughest way possible. First he was told that he is DeWet’s (Dirk Stoltz) long lost son, only to find out shortly after wards that DNA evidence proved that he wasn’t related to DeWet. “It turned his whole life upside down and he once again realised that his blood family is important. He decided to pack his bags, say goodbye to Hillside and go look for his son Luka,” explains Dann-Jaques.
GOOD TIMES
The actor joined 7de Laan in 2016 and announced in February this year that he was resigning. “Justin was such a nice character to play. He had so many layers. He was loving, family-oriented and the day he was upset, everyone knew about it. I know that the last few weeks, he’s been a mess with the whole who’s-my-daddy storyline. But it’s nice to play someone who can show so many different emotions in a short time,” says the actor, who finished filming in July.
