If Tumishang (Mothusi Magano) could turn back the hands of time, he wouldn’t have returned to Turfloop in September to complete his law degree because it’s been nothing short of troublesome. When he first arrived, his neighbours were against his romantic relationship with much-younger student Botshelo (Neo Ramitshana) and he is currently on trial for abducting his classmate and cherished pageant queen Kelebogile Kgomo (Mmathema Kgomo). “Tumishang feels like the world is against him,” explains Mothusi.
But that’s not all on Tumishang’s mind: his lawyer Leeto (Eric Macheru) withdraws from the trial as Tumishang keeps changing his police statement. “Tumishang is beyond disappointed by this,” says Mothusi, adding that his character is desperate for Leeto to continue representing him. But it’s a done deal – Leeto wants nothing to do with the suspect. “The case is assigned to another lawyer and Tumishang isn’t having it! He demands to have Leeto back and when that doesn’t happen, we begin to see Tumishang unravel,” reveals Mothusi. Leeto had better watch his back, because Tumishang is going to make the lawyer’s life a misery for dropping him at the last minute.
