It’s been over a year since a devastating fire left Lehasa’s (Cedric Fourie) Maphosa Nuts factory burnt to a crisp, but police and Turfloop residents don’t seem to be any closer to pinning down the culprit. First believed to have been caused by a simple electrical fault, it soon became clear that this was a case of arson. From individuals seeking to avenge unbearable working conditions at the factory, to business partner Lelo (Amanda du Pont) desperate for a quick payout – there’s no shortage of possible suspects.
Secrets recently started crawling out of the shadows, along with a few lies. Noah and Koloi (Austin Mothapo and Joseph Tshepo Senatle) fibbed about their whereabouts on the night of the fire, while Clement (Vusi Leremi) opted for honesty by telling police that the trio did in fact go to the factory that fiery night. With still no clarity on who struck the match, the tvplus detectives decided to call in the top-five suspects to do some interrogating of our own. Naturally, they all claim innocence…
SUSPECT #1: NOAH
MOTIVE: Revenge
Why were you and the other boys at the factory? We were looking for Lehasa to confront him. But he wasn’t there.
You’re a known troublemaker with a track record of bad behaviour – why should we believe you?
