A majority of institutions strive hard to make engineering an attractive and exciting career choice which appeals to a wide range of applicants. In view of the large sanctioned student intake of around 1.5 million, the challenge for students and parents is to select the best college for quality BE/B.Tech education. While the institutions engage in various activities that nurture the learning environment and focus on translating their intellectual assets into research outcomes, the decision for students to take an informed choice on the institution of study is quite complex. The rating of close to 600 institutions in the engineering domain is an attempt to facilitate the process of zeroing on to the best ones.
