Queen Elizabeth’s favorite heir is giving up the throne to protect his beloved wife, Kate, and their three kids from bloodthirsty terrorists!

His explosive announcement triggered a royal crisis and comes on the heels of an ISIS goon’s courthouse confession that he plotted attacks on little Prince George, 4, at the moppet’s school.

Now, the queen and William’s dad, Prince Charles, are pleading with Kate’s husband to change his mind. But William is adamant — and insists he’s following the wishes of his late mother, Princess Diana, who was murdered in a 1997 Paris car crash.

“William says the great lesson he learned from his mom was that family comes first,” says a palace insider.
