NEW ANIMATION
Superworm Christmas Day, BBC1 HD, 2.30pm
Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith and Oscar-winner Olivia Colman lend their voices to the tale of a very special superhero this Christmas.
Superworm is the latest adaptation from the magical world of bestselling children’s author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler. Brought to life by Magic Light Pictures, the half-hour animation follows in the footsteps of previous Christmas hits such as The Gruffalo, Stick Man and The Highway Rat.
It tells the story of a heroic worm who is always ready to help others – whether he’s saving a baby toad from a road accident or letting bees use him as a skipping rope.
