Becoming Elizabeth
NEW Genre: Drama Season: 1 Available: Sunday 12 June Episodes: 8 (released weekly)
Forbidden love, ruthless power struggles, and an orphaned young woman's rise to become Queen of England are the heady mix in this new STARZPLAY drama, which tells the story of Elizabeth Tudor's ascent to the throne.
The eight-part series follows a teenage Elizabeth and her half-siblings in the immediate aftermath of their father King Henry VIII's death in 1547.
German actor Alicia von Rittberg stars as Elizabeth, Henry's daughter with Anne Boleyn, while Romola Garai plays her half-sister Mary Tudor. However, as Henry's only surviving male child, it's nine-year-old Edward, his son with Jane Seymour, who is first in line to the throne.
