What's the first thing you do when you arrive on set?
Well, we live in a new world now. There are all these Covid protocols. On Winning Time, we had to gate-check. So we would test and hole up in the trailer until we cleared - every day before we could venture out and go into hair and make-up.
What do you take on set with you?
I bring a Thermos, to keep a cup of tea with me that's hot. I bring comfortable sneakers to wear, black sneakers that I can swap out for the dress shoes the character would have to wear for 16 hours a day. I'll bring material to paint or draw... just basics that make me feel like I've got a little comfort. I lose all the comfort inside, but I'll have a cup of tea after I have to cry or kill someone or take my clothes off in front of the crew. Just a little something.
