A baby on the way and a victory in court! Meghan and Harry have plenty to smile about even though her family are still a headache

Things Are Looking Up

YOU have to hand it to Harry and Meghan: they know how to make a statement. Because really, what better way to announce wonderful news than on Valentine’s Day – and with a dreamy black-and-white picture of the happy couple gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes in a sun-dappled garden, no less.

“Archie is going to be a big brother,” a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced.

The picture is pure California perfection all around: Harry, barefoot and beaming, Meghan radiant with happiness as she cradles her belly, soft lighting falling on her face against a backdrop of lush loveliness.

From the looks of things, Meghan is quite far into her pregnancy. The flowing folds of her dress – a recycled Carolina Herrera number from a batch the fashion house made for her during her first pregnancy – clearly outline a well-established baby bump.

The newspaper headline on Valentine’s Day in 1984 that announced Princess Diana’s second pregnancy – 37 years later to the day Meghan and Harry revealed they’re having another baby.

Judging from the way Meghan carried in her first pregnancy, she is at least five months along, which means Archie’s little sibling should be here about a month or so after he turns two in May.

After Harry and Meghan’s heartbreaking loss last year, it’s understandable the couple would’ve waited until well after the first trimester to announce she was expecting again.

In November, Meghan wrote a searing essay in The New York Times about the miscarriage she’d had in July and the pain she and Harry went through.
