LEMONGRASS HAIR BALM
On numerous occasions, scores of us have brought home a bunch of lemongrass thinking we’ll brew some tea with a sprig of this magical plant but land up with many leftover stalks in the refrigerator. Well, now you can put this lemony scented grass to great use and avail of the many haircare benefits it offers. With the sun treating us to its scorching best, gift your hair an instant chic definition by making a hair balm with lemongrass.
How to do it:
• Gently simmer about three glasses of water in a medium-sized wok.
• Take 2-4 tbsp of cocoa butter in another bowl and lightly soften it by placing the bowl over the pan of hot water.
• Once the butter has melted, keep it aside.
• Now, in a separate bowl, mix castor oil, camellia oil, pure coconut oil and heat them too over the same pan of hot water.
• Once the oils have blended well, stir in 8-10 drops of lemongrass oil and rosemary oil in it.
• Now pour this oil mixture into the soft butter and whisk well till the mixture gets fluffy.
• Pour into a container and refrigerate for a few hours.
