We’re just in the first quarter of 2023, and a certain K-pop girl group is getting an early start at making, well, twice the impact of their contemporaries — not only is iconic girl group TWICE set to release their 12th mini-album this month, the group’s first subunit (consisting of TWICE’s three Japanese members), MISAMO has teased that they are soon releasing their first Japanese mini album. Today, we see a different side to the band’s main dancer, Momo, who embraces her grown-up and feminine sides — she joins us in the studio with her dear fur kid, Boo, and the Norwich Terrier even gets his own photograph taken with the Twice superstar. Below, Momo talks about TWICE’s upcoming mini album, her excitement about being part of MISAMO, and more.
TWICE is releasing your 12th mini-album this month. What can we expect?
Since this is our first album after our contract renewal, we’re excited to show you all a renewed TWICE with a new beginning!
Earlier this year, you released your prerelease single, ‘Moonlight Sunrise’, of the 12th mini-album. What was it like working on the track and video?
Since it was an English pre-release single, I worked hard and put in a lot of effort to overcome the challenges of pronouncing English by practising and recording many times. As for the music video, I felt like we had a really refreshing vibe and atmosphere, and so all of the members had a blast filming it.
