What does Virgil Abloh’s experience in skating mean to a collaboration like the one you’ve done for Louis Vuitton?

Virgil knows his skate history. When you work on a project like this, it’s important that those working on it know the history behind it, and have the right intentions. We are on the same wavelength, which makes it very natural and easy. All along, it’s been like, “Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking!” We speak the same language.

What difference does this mutual understanding make to a project like this?
