Pregnancy is a time of tremendous change for a woman’s body. To take care of both yours and your baby’s, it’s important to make sure you’re eating nourishing food. You don’t quite need to ‘eat for two’, but you do need to up your calories and intake of the good stuff, particularly iron, folate, calcium and protein. Eating plenty of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and lean protein may be sufficient to meet your needs, or you might need to take supplements.
