HeatherAsh Amara has written a number of books, including the bestselling ‘Warrior Goddess Training’ series. Her latest book, The Warrior Heart Practice, shares a powerful new method that helps us realign with our true nature. Here she talks to Cissi Williams about how you can tap into the wisdom present within the four chambers of the heart.
What inspired you to write the book The Warrior Heart Practice?
It came from when I was talking with a dear friend of mine, and he was suffering. He had a story that he was telling himself, and anybody who would listen, and as he was telling me this story, I looked at him and I said, “Honey, that’s not actually what happened, here’s what happened, I was there.” And then I reflected the truth back to him, and he would kind of shake himself and go, “My gosh, you’re right. I’m telling myself this story, that’s not true. Got it.” And he would be fine for a couple of days, and then he would come back to me with the same old story.
And this happened several times. I realised he was stuck in what I think of as a spin cycle, that we often do that as humans, where we get stuck in a story and we can’t get out. So the third round of him sharing his angst and his upset, I did a little prayer and I just said, “Is there any way that I can help my friend stay in the truth? Is there any way I can help him not suffer?” And this process, The Warrior Heart Practice, dropped into my being, fully formed, and I was like, alright, let’s try this.
