Feel well in WEST HOLLYWOOD

We understand. You work hard on your fitness all year so the idea of a holiday where your Fitbit doesn’t get much action isn’t up there on your things to do. So, don’t! Recently, fitness and holidays have consciously coupled. Wellness tourism has grown by 6.5%* annually over the past two years, more than twice as fast as tourism overall.

But forget solo yoga trips and extreme juice detox retreats; head to sunny West Hollywood, or WeHo as it’s affectionately known, for the best of both worlds.

The basics

Located at the base of the Hollywood Hills and adjacent to Beverly Hills, the city of West Hollywood is just 1.9 square miles in size. The city is comprised of three main districts: the world-famous Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Boulevard and the West Hollywood Design District.

Not to be confused with the more raucous Hollywood – home of the world-famous Walk of Fame – West Hollywood is where LA gets its healthy living reputation, featuring miles of idyllic hiking routes, plenty of opportunities to try the latest wellness trends and lots of charcoal lattes.

Getting around

Locals spend a good portion of their day driving around LA. But, given its small size, this is one of California’s most walkable areas. Ride-sharing services can cover longer distances or help if you’re in a rush to get to your meditation class (this is LA, after all).
