This little trio is absolutely our squad goals. Their teeny outfits can be changed to suit any occasion if you're looking to add something adorable to a birthday gift or are just after a new project outside of the festive season, but there's some extra special touches within this project to make them feel Christmassy, too.

Bring your other crafting skills to this and try crocheting a scarf or knitting a jumper. It's a great way of using up scraps of fabric.

01 Cut all shapes using the templates on page 85, plus one 18 x 4.5cm (748 x 17) rectangle from the dotted red cotton to make the skirt. Start with both front head pieces and place wrong sides (WS) together. Whip stitch at points A, B and C marked on template.

02 Fold a back head piece in half right sides (RS) together and sew the dart with a whip stitch.

03 Place sewn front head pieces and back head piece WS together, aligning the edges. Whip stitch around the outside of the head, leaving the neckline open.
