A colonnade-style extension, designed by Re-Format, has added a contemporary flourish to a country home that was originally built more than 500 years ago

When the owners of this historic home in the South Downs National Park approached Re-Format, their goal was to transform the ground floor by adding an open-plan kitchen-diner, snug, utility room and a gym.
