SPA QUALITY
Although it was spacious, this master bathroom in Silver tree Estate, Cape Town, was rather dull and utilitarian. “The existing layout didn’t make the most of the proportions or the outlook,” recalls Lisa Millbacher of Bespoke Bathrooms. “We first gutted it, then, to make it more functional and add some much-needed elegance, we custom-designed a resin composite vanity around the existing window. For a more open feel, we removed the shower enclosure and replaced it with a glass walk-in shower. The window in the shower was also enlarged to reveal the beautiful views.” Shutters from Taylor Blinds were installed to screen the door opening onto the terrace and the windows.
