This question is the basis of a new and innovative scenario-based training, "Just Call Me Amy: An Immersive Roleplay to Discuss Appropriate PatientCentered Care for Transgender Patients". Developed by Hondros College of Nursing professor and author David Foley, PhD, MSN, RN-BC, CNE, MPA, and coauthor Dr. Morgan Wiggins from Breen School of Nursing, the training explores ways healthcare professionals can unintentionally create a crisis by minimizing or misunderstanding the specific care needs of transgender patients.
