Ntando Zikalala N one of Mail & Guardian's 50 most powerful women in 2023 - is no stranger to the world of entertainment. Born to a creative and talented mother (media personality Zandi Nhlapo), she carved her own path within the same industry. Today, she is the founder and CEO of To The Max Brand Management, and has built her company with the ethos of female empowerment. Not only does she represent some of the most talented women in South Africa, but she also leads an all-female team. We sat down with her to find out more...
Have you always wanted to be a brand manager?
My journey wasn't a direct path; it started as a hobby when I was servicing corporate clients. While I may not have envisioned myself as a brand manager, I became fascinated by how brands and artists could collaborate and have a lasting impact on their audience. Eventually, the fascination led to the role of brand manager. It has allowed me to evolve and grow in ways I couldn't have imagined.
