William Dalrymple's Rajasthan
Eat Stay Love|Volume 4 Issue 3

The celebrated writer and historian on his love affair with the state known for its vibrant colours, royal splendour and cultural riches.

William Dalrymple's Rajasthan

Historian, author, travel writer William Dalrymple’s favourite city is definitely Delhi. But he considers the state of Rajasthan, and, particularly, the city of Jaipur a close contender. The reasons are pretty obvious: he is the man who founded the Jaipur Literary Festival, monikered the Kumbh Mela of literary events for the sheer multitude it attracts.

Dalrymple has also curated a 12-day stellar tour of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan for luxury travel consultants Cox & Kings, in association with The Telegraph newspaper, the London institution, of course. His list of must-dos in Rajasthan, and his curated tour, offer an insight into Dalrymple’s Rajasthan.
