From September to December every year, the hills and mountains of the Northeast come alive with the sound of music. Artistes and bands from all over the country, and the world, come down to the Northeast to perform in the annual music festivals. Although there will be a great number of festivals held across the region, there are three big stalwarts that you should definitely not miss out on. Ziro Festival of Music

To be able to enjoy an interesting line-up of artistes playing different genres of music amidst the majestic rice fields of the Ziro valley is an experience that will stay with you long after the festival has ended. What is great about this festival is that there is so much to do apart from enjoying the performances. You get to witness exclusive jam sessions, interact with artistes up close, dance up a storm at their wild after parties, make new friends from around the world and more.

International acts that are going to be a part of the festival this year are Gramlines from Italy, Shye Ben tzur and The Rajasthan Express (Israel/India) and Natasha Humera Ejaz from Pakistan.
