High-Tech Home Security Solutions.

Worthy of Jason Bourne

In the 2013 futuristic horror film, “The Purge,” the family of a salesman of high-end home security systems is terrorized by a gang of murders and vengeful neighbors. Though the premise of the movie – one night a year, Americans are allowed to commit any crime without consequence – is incredibly far-fetched and sickening, the high-tech home security systems highlighted in the protagonist’s household are not.

Once the annual purge begins, the hero arms his security system, which includes a one-push button that activates electromagnetic locks, night vision cameras, automatic steel bars over doors and windows, as well as closed circuit TV. This level of technologically advanced home security equipment isn’t just fantasy any more.

Long gone are the days of a fully wired house with visible motion detection and easily compromised surveillance cameras connected to an outsourced monitoring company. Today, scientists, engineers, top security professionals and ex-military personnel are developing home security systems that rival that of any science-fiction film.

TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED

In the FBI’s latest crimes committed in the United States report, a home burglary occurs every 13 seconds, costing victims $14.3 billion dollars a year.

More than half of the theft of property from a home or vehicle occurred through forced entry. The first thing you can do to avoid becoming a victim of crime is to make sure you secure your home against forced entry through doors or windows.
