They’d picked a date, chosen a church and even ordered invitations… but now, sources close to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have confirmed that The Voice stars’ plans to live happily ever after together are on indefinite hold. “In public, they’ve been putting on happy faces,” reports one friend of the couple. “But behind the scenes, the tension between them has reached a boiling point. Shortly after the holidays, it got bad enough that Gwen was thinking of calling off the wedding ding entirely.” Ironically, it was the wedding — or rather, news reports thereof — that made Gwen, 47, so mad in the first place. “When all the details about their big day leaked out last November,” the friend says, “Gwen went ballistic.”

Another insider confirms: “She was instantly angry at Blake, because she was sure that there was no way the leak could have come from her side. In her view, the people around her are professionals, who’ve been properly managing her worldwide fame for decades.”
